     When I first came out at age 30, I searched the country from New York to Colorado and ended up in Washington, lost and confused about what it meant to be a Gay Male.  I was taught that a gay male was expected to act flamboyant, but I was not.  After struggling with Identity Acceptance, in 2007 I moved to Portland, Oregon and opened Market Street Initiative, LLC to learn what this new lifestyle was all about.  Since then I have lived with about 200 gay males and created a safe space community type environment for those seeking either a short term or even a long term Gay Male lifestyle. (HOME). This experience has helped me understand what the LGBTQ family is all about and has allowed me to remove the Shame that was bestowed upon me as a child.  I have put together a program (Back on Track) designed to remove the Hetronormalization that has mislead me in order to blend into today’s world.  Gay Marriage and Transgender issues has proven that neither of those issues has anything to do with what it truly means to be a Gay Male.  This is why we are still bullied and hated by many, even by our own metro sexual gay male brothers.  Learning to live and express our inner self as Gay Males in a Living environment and be re-born as gay males is the only way to allow for that re-discovery of who and what it is to proudly say “Gay Male I AM”.   It is my hope that with my works we all can find a place to keep our culture alive before it gets lost forever.  So many of our Gay Male Brothers have no idea how important remembering our past is as it paves the way to a better future for us all.  I hope that you will join me in your community and help your Gay Male Brothers that are looking for support, wisdom and to find their inner peace that we need to live a healthy, prosperous, and fulfilling life.
